The team at Bronllys provide help to people who want to live life more fully but are hindered in doing so by symptoms of chronic non-malignant pain or chronic fatigue syndrome. The residential programme at the Centre is the only one in the UK to focus on pain and fatigue problems.
Programmes for people with pain and fatigue have been running at the Pain & Fatigue Management Centre since 1994 and the team have a wealth of experience of working with people for whom their problems effect physical, psychological and social aspects of their lives. The Centre is situated in the grounds of Bronllys Hospital near Brecon in beautiful Mid Wales. It is both peaceful and full of opportunites to engage in outdoor activities however much energy and stamina you have.
The residential programme is suitable for people with a wide range of conditions including fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, Myalgic Encephalopathy, Post-Viral Fatigue Syndrome, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome and myofacial pain syndrome and incorporates cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, graded exercise, activity management and pacing, relaxation, sleep management and meditation.
